PERIODIC ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT FOR EFFICIENT VEHICLE

 


    Periodic change of engine oil along with oil filter is mandatory for the efficient working of any motor vehicle. Prices of engine oil have also been increased substantially since last year. The price of 4litre bottle of Carient Ultra(Grey)was Rs. 3300/- in March 2022 which has now been increased to Rs. 5400/- in October 2023.

    I have been using Carient engine oil in my car since its purchase in 2019. The Carient Ultra(Grey) is fully synthetic engine oil with viscosity range of 10-30 and it is best for vehicles who have run over 100,000/- km. It is best to change this engine oil after every 4000-4500 kilometers. The Carient oils are product of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the largest oil company of Pakistan, and caters to more than 40% of fuel needs of Pakistan.

    It is advisable to replace both oil filter and air filter at the time of oil changing of engine. It will enhance both the efficiency of vehicle and life span of its engine. Mostly oil filters used by oil shops in Pakistan are Malaysian or Thailand made whose price range is Rs. 500 to 1000/-. While Japan made oil filters are of premium quality and their price in almost Rs.1500/-
